MHS ANNOUNCEMENTS 10/27/26

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Good morning! As we continue Red Ribbon Week, let's talk about one of your most important assets: your brain. During adolescence, the brain is still developing, especially the areas responsible for decision-making, learning, memory, and self-control. Alcohol, nicotine, and other drugs can interfere with that development and make it harder to reach your full potential. This year's theme, "Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free," reminds us that protecting your brain today helps create opportunities for tomorrow. Whether your goal is college, a career, athletics, the military, or simply living a healthy life, staying drug-free gives you the best chance to succeed.

Attention all Swiftie Club members: our next meeting will be held this Friday, October 30th during tutorial in room 2-202 in the North building. We will be revisiting the Showgirl era as we celebrate the recent release of "The Life of a Showgirl: the Encore." Join us in making postcards as we listen to the album and discuss our thoughts. We hope to see you there! Please email Mrs. Gildersleeve with any questions.

Attention Psychological Science Association members: please make sure to attend this Friday's PSA Halloween-themed meeting in the Hub! Please sign-up on our Google Classroom by Wednesday. This month, we'll investigate some of the psychology behind scary movies. Be prepared to learn a little bit about why people like scary movies and how that can also be beneficial in some ways! PSA meeting - this Friday - in the HUB. We'll see you there.
