MHS ANNOUNCEMENTS 10/26/26

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Last call, last call, last call. Today is the last day to get your Key Club dues in. Thank you to those of you that have taken care of this already! See you soon.

Good morning and welcome to Red Ribbon Week 2026! Did you know that Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 after DEA Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena was killed while working to stop drug trafficking? Communities across the country started wearing red ribbons to honor his sacrifice and promote lives free from alcohol and other drugs. Today, Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug prevention campaign in the United States. This year's theme is "Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free." Throughout the week, remember that being a hero isn't about having superpowers. It's about making choices that protect your health, support your goals, and create a positive future. Every healthy choice you make is a step toward becoming the best version of yourself.

We had over 300 guesses last Friday for our guess the candy free lunch Friday challenge. No one had it right but 2 students both guessed 160 which was only one away from the actual number of 159. Those two students were entered into a drawing and the winner of all the candy and $10.00 to be added to their lunch account is Easton Slater! Congratulations Easton enjoy your candy courtesy of McDowell North Student Council!
