NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Spanish club will meet on Friday in room 220, but due to Future Ready activities for Sophomores and Seniors, this meeting is for Juniors only. We will have another meeting on Friday, October 30, for all club members. Thank you. 

Good morning, McDowell South! Step away from the coffee mug and put down the cookie dreams—the Blue Bean Cafe is CLOSED today. We know, we know... how will you survive without your mid-morning fuel? Take a deep breath, hang in there, and save those cravings for tomorrow, when we’ll be back and fully stocked with all your favorite snacks and drinks to get you through the day. See you during tutorial tomorrow, and have a great day!

Get Ready for the deal of the century! Next week student council will be stopping by your tutorial to sell you Krispy Kreme donuts. Each donut is only $1 yes only $1. It is a crazy good deal. See you next week and bring your dollar so you can get your sweet treat!

Lead and Seed Club meeting today at MIHS in the Humanities Commons during tutorial.

Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm is Drug Take Back Day at the Millcreek Municipal Building on 26th Caughey. If you have any prescription medication you want to dispose of safely, please bring it in. We hope to see you there! 

There will be NO MORE ESL Club on Thursdays. ESL Club will continue with Ms. Maguire, in Room 2-210, on Mondays during Tutorial. 

Attention students: Starting on Friday, October 23, breakfast service will be cut off promptly at 7:30 AM.

GUIDANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention College Bound Juniors and Seniors: If would like to attend the Mercyhurst University campus tour on November 12th or Kent State University campus tour on November 19th, please read the email from Mrs. Gilroy for more details including the GPA requirements. 

Attention Freshmen! Permission forms for the upcoming field trip to ECTS are due tomorrow. Forms should be returned to the McDowell North Guidance Office.

Attention all juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.8 or higher: There are only 5 seats left on the bus to visit Penn State University Park on Wednesday, October 28. Please see Mrs. Koket in the South Guidance Office ASAP for a form if you are interested in attending this field trip.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

In tonight's sports action, boys JV soccer will play Cathedral Prep in a 6:00 away game. Boys freshman football hosts North Allegheny in a 6:00 home game.

REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

There is no Swim club this week. We will resume next week!

Due to the Future Ready Week, Investment Club will reschedule their meeting this week to next Thursday 10/29.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in working on the tech crew for the McDowell CPA’s production of Frozen on Monday, October 26 during tutorial, in the McDowell North Little Theater. The tech crew includes anyone interested in helping with stage crew, lights, sound, projections, spotlights, and special effects! We will need approximately 20 people to help bring this show to life! Mr. Johnson will go over all the details at the meeting and answer any questions. If you are interested in joining the tech crew but cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. J ahead of time to get the information you need! Can’t wait to see you all there!
