Attention all AFJROTC cadets - BOTH SEMESTERS - there is a mandatory meeting in ROTC today, Tuesday, Oct 6th during tutorial. You'll all be excused in infinite campus, so just go directly from 2nd block to ROTC. Attendance will be taken there.
As homecoming spirit week continues- Don’t forget—On Wednesdays, we wear PINK! Join us for our Pink Out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and show your spirit by wearing as much pink as you can! Dance Tickets are still on sale on Infinite Campus! Don’t wait until the last minute—get your ticket today! Guest forms are due by tomorrow.
The Investment Club will hold a meeting THURSDAY October 8th in Mr. Zeigler's room 211. Anyone still wishing to join, please attend.

Boys and girls cross country hots Erie High at Brown's Farm tonight in a 4:00 meet. Boys soccer travels to Franklin Area High School for away games. Varsity starts at 6:00 and JV at 7:45. Girls volleyball has home games against Slippery Rock Area High School tonight, JV at 6:00 and varsity at 7:15. And girls JV soccer heads to Meadville Area High School for a 6:30 game.
REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
On October 18th from 4-6 pm, National Honor Society is hosting Trail for a Cause to support the teal pumpkin project to help make Halloween safe for kids with food allergies. For this event, we are asking the various clubs, programs, and sports throughout McDowell to help attend the event and contribute by setting up a table and passing out items for little children. If you are a part of any clubs that you think would be interested in participating or volunteering at the event, please contact Dayana Rojas at 143875@mtsd.org. Service hours are offered for those who volunteer. We hope to see you there!
Students that turned in their permission slip for the MFG(Manufacturing) Day field trip for Wednesday October 7th should report to the main entrance of McDowell South at 7:55am that morning. The bus will leave at 8:00am so don't be late!
Attention Students! McDowell International Club is having their first meeting on Thursday, October 8th, in Ms.Lehman's room, room 123! International Club will be hosting fun competitions, games, potlucks, cultural activities, snacks, prizes and much more. Everyone is welcome, so if this interests you, make sure to grab a friend and come join us at our first meeting this Thursday in room #123!!
McDowell South High School is hosting a voter registration drive from October 5–9! Seniors, check one more thing off your to-do list and register to vote! There will be tables set up in the Hub during tutorial and during all McDowell South Lunches. You will only need a valid ID or your Social Security number to register. Take the first step toward making your voice heard-register to vote!
