NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Attention 11th and 12th graders. The military is entitled to request your name, address, and telephone number. If you do not wish your information to be released to the military, please stop by the main office in either building and pick up an opt out form. Forms are due back to the offices by October 1. This is your last opportunity to be removed from the list.

Game Changer Sports Ministry is sponsoring a Mini Golf outing on Saturday, October 17. The event is free for students! Look for flyers around school or stop down to the Athletic Office for details. Free mini golf event! 

Game Changer Sports Ministry will have our initial meeting of the new school year, Thursday, Oct 1st during tutorial in the LGI at McDowell South. All athletes, please join us and see what it's all about.

There will be no ESL club this week. See you all next week!

We have our first Free Lunch Friday Winner, Congratulations to Don Perry for being our Lucky Duck Winner! Don will have $10.00 added to his lunch account courtesy of your McDowell North Student Council! 

Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale now through Wednesday, October 7th! Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased through Infinite Campus → School Store. Each McDowell student may purchase: 1 ticket for themselves, 1 guest ticket for a student who does NOT attend McDowell. Important Guest Information: You cannot purchase a guest ticket for another McDowell student. All guests must have a completed and signed Guest Form turned in before the dance. No physical tickets will be issued! When entering the dance, students will need to have their Infinite Campus account pulled up or provide their student ID number. Don't wait—get your tickets before sales close.

GUIDANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all college bound 11th and 12th grade students: Representatives from the following schools will be meeting with students in the McDowell South HUB this week: Stanford University, John Carroll University, Walsh University, and Carlow University. If you are interested in learning more about any of these schools, you must sign up in Naviance in order to get a pass to attend!! Just click on "Colleges", then "Visits." Any questions, please see Mrs. Gilroy.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Boys and Girls varsity golf will be playing in the Team District 10 Championship today. Girls varsity tennis plays at Warren tonight at 4:00. Boys soccer hosts General McLane with Varsity starting at 6:00 and JV at 7:30. And Girls volleyball plays at home against Oil City. JV starts at 6:00 and varsity at 7:15.

REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Hello, all McDowell students! Would you like to make a change in your community for the upcoming Thanksgiving season? Join us for the Thanksgiving Box of Love food drive to support the Erie City Mission's cause in providing for local homeless families during the holidays! We are accepting boxes of stuffing, packets of gravy, large cans of yams, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, brownie mix, and even card games. By donating these items, you can directly help those in need right here in our city. Donations should be dropped off in Mr. Andrzejczak's room, 2-207, and Mr. Bailey's room, 121, by Friday, November 6.
