Hello Students! Are you someone who likes to books, but has no one to share your thoughts or ideas about what you read? Are you someone who participated in Battle of the Books in the past or likes showing your creative side through writing? If you are, McDowell Literacy Club may be the organization for you! This is a READING CLUB that gives members the opportunity to share their interests, plus a whole lot more. If you are interested in participating, the club will meet next Monday , September 14th immediately after school in room 2-205 at McDowell North. Esports is ready to roll once again! Interested in playing Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, or Valorant? Then come to an after school meeting on Thursday in McD South room 129. It will go from 2:30 to 3:00. Whether you're interested or just have questions, come on in! It's competitive video games at school!
Registered Model UN Delegates, we will be holding an introductory meeting in room 123 during tutorial on Thursday, September 10th. This meeting is mandatory if you have an interest in attending the Gannon Model UN Conference.

In sports news, girls varsity golf travels to Warren Area High School for an away match, boys varsity golf has home matches against Ft. LeBoeuf at Elk Valley, and gilrs varsity soccer heads to Franklin Area High School for a 6:00 game.
All boys basketball players attending Wednesday's workout should report to McDowell North Main Gymnasium right after school to help bring up all the equipment. See Coach Costello with any questions.
REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Swim club will start this Thursday. All students are welcome. Come with your own swim gear and be on time. Swim club runs every Thursday during tutorial. Please see Mrs. Keim or Mr. Lombardo for a swim club pass.
Want to get better at public speaking, meet new people, and maybe travel around the country? If so, join Speech and Debate where you have the opportunity to compete at tournaments at places like Harvard and Yale. No experience is required to join, so if you want to elevate your college application, build confidence, and have fun, come to the first meeting on Tuesday September 8th, in room 2-208 from 2:40 to 4:00. There will be a Lead and Seed Club meeting on Thursday September 10th in the MIHS Humanities Commons during the Tutorial. We are a Community Service Organization. And we welcome new members to our Club.
Attention 9th and 10th grade students: Starting Tuesday September 8th, after school help will be offered in the McDowell North Library. Every Tuesday and Thursday is Math help, and every Wednesday is Bonus Study hall for help in any subject. Students can also stay on Wednesdays after school just to complete work, make up a test, or use library resources.
